Default B2300 SPARK PLUGS

Any help appreciated for suggestions on changing driver side plugs.. #3, 4 especially.. can they be easily replaced without removing the intake manifold?

What is right..... the plugs on the drivers side of the 2300 are located underneath the intake manifold. On this engine there are two sets of spark plugs. One fires on combustion stroke, the other on exhaust. This makes for an efficient engine but a pain to replace!!!!!!!!!

oh okay, I am really glad I only said what I did instead of what I thought. haha. Learned something new and its only 11 am !

I dont have any suggestions really though, although I did find a handy trick the other day in my book. to install the plug to get the thread started, use a 5/16 fuel hose or so and fit the plug into the hole that way you can extend it into the tricky spots and turn it until its tight and continue afterwards with the socket. spiffy

Sorry to bump an old thread but figgered it wouldnt hurt incase someone still needs this as they are a pain to get to ^^

Anyways you can get a universal joint for your ratchet to get at 1&2 of the drivers side plugs
May need to try different small extensions along with the ujoint as it is a tight fit. Just break them lose then un-screw by hand when possible. For the 3&4 drivers side plugs just get a rather long extension for your ratchet and someone with small hands to wiggle the plug wires off or find your own method to remove this, pliers maybe? tho good news is there should be str8 space for 3&4 so that long extension will go right in nicely also the wires can be pushed back on with your ratchet or again small hands.

Passenger side is easy as you just need to unplug and remove part of the plastic air filter housing and if i remember correctly its just a simple matter of unplugging a few sensors and 1 flat screw. Biggest problem with the drivers side is removing/placing the plug wires on 3&4 and getting the tools on/off the #2 plug because of space limitations.

PS: I own a 95 and i suck at this stuff so if year is different dont hold me to it lol I did manage to get my own after a little cursing but it started running nice after my bosch +4 plugs were in.
Also again sorry for bumping old thread i know its a no no
