Are the crankshafts the same on all engines 1989, even if different tranmissions, wondering if i am gona need to change crankshafts if i put my engine from my 2-WD Automatic Tranmission, into my 4-WD Manual Tranmission. Both engines are the same....?? I was wondering if the automatic crankshaft has the whole for the pilot bearing? I heard they are the same, but wanted yalls advice/information., thanks

They should be the same. I looked up the crankshaft and it did not specify auto or manual. There will be an open hole to put a pilot bearing in.

I show the same as well on the Mazda parts computer. The 89-93 all use the same crankshaft. 87-88 is different part number though.
