Default Antenna

Is replacing the antenna a tough job? Any tips. I really want a stock OEM antenna. I saw one claiming so on eBay but in the pictures it looked like it was a pillar mount. Mine is in the fender

Jack up right front of truck and support. Remove front passenger wheel. Remove plastic inner wheelwell to access a 10mm bolt that secures the lower end of the antenna body. Remove chrome securing nut on the top of the fender at base of exterior portion of the antenna, and remove the antenna from below inside the wheelwell. You may need to remove the passenger side kick panel, and then thread the antenna cable out of the dash area. Removing the glovebox helps to see behind the dash areas......then reverse the steps to reinstall the antenna. You should be able to "feel" behind the radio to unplug the antenna wire, and reinstall it.......without radio housing removal......but it is easy to partially remove the radio though.
If you do partially remove the radio housing......there is a 10mm bolt behind the ashtray that secures the rear bracket for supporting the rear of the radio.

This is all from memory......and I am an old guy.......so......
