Default 89 b2200 lift kit

i just got an 89 b2200 2 door short bed with a 5 sp.

i was wondering what kind of lift kits are out there because i cant find any suspension lifts

i guess my only option is to do a body lift. what is the best one?

but my only worries with this is that i have heard that with body lifts, you have to get steering and shifter extentions. Is this true? What else will be needed with a body lift and where do i get this stuff.

Thanks for the help

KYLE

I bought a suspension lift for my 2600 of ebay. It came with new leaf springs for the back and new torsion bars for the front, and also new shocks. I haven't had tome to install it yet. Looks like it will make it look nice. Here is the link to Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330001894209
Good luck

Could this also fit the b2200 with a little work? I have a 3" body lift kit now and run 31" tires but would like to go with 33s. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW: She is a V8

Chaney,
Thanks for the link man. Those 2.5" inch lifts kits are near impossible to find, ive been looking for over a year now! Lucky thing they had 8 left in stock. Ought to be a good bolt on for the truck!

I just installed my last week I did the rear and had a shop do my torsion bars only charged me $110 to do the bars and the shocks. I could adjust them up a few more inches, but i'm out of adjustment for my alignment on the front.

Where are you guys at? That lift kit isn't priced too bad coming w/ new leafs and shocks too. You can only run about 2" of lift in the front without completely destroying A-arm bolts, ball joints, tie rod ends and CV angles. You wonder how I know? Because I done it...
I had 3" blocks in the rear and the front cranked up about 5". CV shafts didn't fit anymore, so I took out the blocks and lowered the front about 2". CV anges were horrible, tore up boots all the time and wore out ball joints in about 3 months tops.
The stock suspension just isn't made to handle those kind of angles. I've asked on here if anyone would be interested in custom A-arms and a diff drop. I could make them for 5" of lift in the front then you'd need about 3" in the rear to level out the truck. I was going to use a set of stock A-arms and use DOM tubing to move the ball joints location and angle for the lift to give all the proper geometry back and maintain a bolt-in application.
