I have a new-to-me 2006 B-Series Regular cab. Rain leaks into the inside of both doors. If parked uphill, it just leaks back out the bottom back of each door. But if parked downhill, it gathers in the door and sloshes around.
I suspect the issue is where the moulding/weatherstripping stops on the rear side (first photo). That's because there is water on the inside back edge of each door (second photo), and I think water runs inside the door itself via the latch.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm asking here in hopes someone can tell me if my moulding as is looks normal or not. Thanks.
Welcome to the forum.
You are missing a trim piece at the top of the B-Pillar post.......not sure if that is causing the water issue though.
If water is collecting INSIDE the door, then the drain holes at the bottom of the door are clogged up and not letting the water drain through the bottom of the door to keep the door empty of any water build up.
Look along the bottom edge of the door and there should be several slots where the water can drain out of the door cavity. They may even have a small thin piece/flap of rubber covering them also.
Thank you. I see two rubber pieces that are drains, with stains showing that at one time they worked. I know the rear one still does. I'm going to see if the front one is clogged.
I'm looking for an image of what the trim *should* look like, but no luck so far.
