Hi all,

I have a 1970’s Mazda 1000 pickup that is being imported but has no papers.

I called the DVLA and spoke to a chap who said it could be registered using the VIN. Said would send the relevant pack of documents. I now have the used vehicle import pack from DVLA.

They now say as the pickup has no registration document the application will have to be endorsed by a club by sending them filled in paperwork V55/5 and V765.

This is the pickup.


Is is there any group, person or club that could assist?

Just to add, I’ve already contacted Mazda UK who in turn emailed Mazda Japan to request confirmation that the vehicle exists and it build date but sadly their records don’t go back as far as 1973.

Anyone else on here been through this and got any wisdom they could impart?
