‘89 B2600i A/C belt help needed please

Yes, there is a small gap there......look at the pic of my HB earlier in this thread and you can see it. I will try to get another better pic loaded for you also. Rule of thumb is.....if the rubber ring at the front looks chewed up or broken/cracked, then the pulley could be loose on the HB. Clean it up good and inspect that rubber ring to see if it is intact.
Also....if you see hammer marks on the pulleys.....don't get it! You are not supposed to beat on those HB's!

Ugh!! Now I wish I had my old one to study and do a failure analysis on before buying a used one. Or, I could quit being a cheap *** and just order one to be at the front door when I get home! Something about the thrill of the hunt……………

Ended up buying a used CS pulley for $50 and so far so good……..mind you I only have one 15 minute test drive on her but she ain’t sliding forward yet!!!!!👍🏼👍🏼

Now, back to the original task of checking the A/C system since the new belts have been put on.

Thanks to ALL for your help! MUCH appreciated.

No matter what - NEVER use any leak sealer or refrigerant containing sealer in any AC system - EVER !!!
