Urgent help! Please decode VIN number for non-WMI mazda 323
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
I understand that old models of Mazda cars were manufactured by Columbian Motors Corporation (or CMC in Pque). The thing is, since they no longer manufacture these cars, they no longer entertain or not even acknowledge the problem. That is why, I'm asking help from you to please explain the structure behind the VIN number.
The way i see it, the car was tampered because the sequence number has to be composed of 6 characters and not 5.
When the car was first bought, the chassis number was BA-11-62M-912102
after the ownership was transferred to 2nd owner, they changed it to BA-11-62M-9102102
but the Engine# remains the same B6-DP00-1082
Camp Crame PNP MVCR did a wild search of hot cars that have the same make and model. They successfully find 2 of these and these 2 car comprises of 14-digit chassis number as well. Please note that they are 96 model and 98 model. Mine is 97 model.
Hope that you can help me in any way. I'm in desperate need of help.
Thank you and God bless.
