1999 VIN Number Locations on vehicle
Soi am a converted Nissan guy (1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R) and just purchased a rebuilt title 1999 Miata in Hunter Green. Purchased it in PA and am attempting to register it in NY.
Turns out, NY blows ***** and i have to have it inspected for stolen parts. Now i know nothing on the vehicle was stolen because it was built up by a company in Pa called PlanetMiata, check out their website cus they have some awesome parts.
Anywho, i want to double check all of my etched and stickered VIN numbers on the vehicle before taking it to new york and getting boned there.
Where are the locations of all of the VIN numbers that are located on the 1999 miata. I know of the 2 doors, hood, and trunk lid, and firewall. Any other places i can check out, like the differentials, engine, transmission, etc?
Thanks,
Shane

RE: 1999 VIN Number Locations on vehicle
Shane,
I'm not sure where all the VIN's are on your car, but one should be on the chassis somewhere. I might look on the bulkhead behind theseats.
Also, haveyou triedcontacting Mazda? Looked in the owners manual? A repair book (Haynes/Chilton?) Have you asked the experts where you bought the car? They obviously do a lot of work on these cars and will probably be able to tell you w/o batting an eye lash.
