Default Switchblade Key

I have a 1999 Mazda 626 and saw those cool new switchblade keys that they are making. I noticed that the key is able to switch, so I could go ahead and make a copy of mine but just the blade and switch it out with one. But would the buttons on the remote for the switchblade key work with my car? Please help.

I suggest you talk to the guy who cuts keys.

Yes you can get 1 cut to match you car, but they are expensive.

Do you have a remote for your car at the moment?
If yes: some remotes can be gutted and the internals made to fit inside the modern key/remote.
If no: them your sh*t out of luck.
