Should I keep my 626 or scrap it?

Default Should I keep my 626 or scrap it?

Hello, folks. I own a 2000 626 ES-V6 automatic with 163,000 kms. In November, the tranny went in the car while on a road trip. The car has been sitting at my old man's place in a town a few hours from where I live. He said he would get the car fixed for me, but has yet to do so, and I am wondering now if it's worth it. The car has been sitting on his back lawn since early November, and has been buried in snow since January. With the tranny already gone (and a bad CV joint and busted hand brake), what other problems would occur from the car sitting idle? I assume the brakes are all seized and will need to be replaced. After sitting for so long, would the car be considered a write off? Thanks to all who respond.

Cheers,

skinny33

u should scrap it man I had one and one thing I know is that they dont know how to build tranny for for those cars at all. My sister inlaw had hers fixed 3 times. after all these years they r still making the 626 with crapping trannys. I dont get it and I will never own or recommend anyone to buy on. thanks
