Angry Need help identifying a Tranny issue???

OK, here's the deal, I have a 97' 626, I4. A few Days a go I ran over a rock that some turd put in the middle of the parking lot at my apartment complex. Now i have a real nice rattling when I drive, going over bumps and dips. In addition to the fact that she shift SO hard, the RPMs climb in between gears and will just drop into the next (It does this for ALL gears). AND my "O/D Off" light is flashing too. i don't have any money to take it in to the shop and see whats wrong, it is my only transportation, and i am looking for the little brat in my complex to get his parent/s to pay for this, any help for me in the mean time? appreciate it.

have you looked underneath the car to see how much damage the rock caused? i'd wonder if it dented the transmission pan, effecting fluid and possibly the filter... maybe damaged some wiring... i don't think that'd cause the rattling you mention (maybe exhaust damage?), but could cause the tranny issues you're now dealing with. Have you had any leaking or checked your transmission fluid level?
