i have a mazda lantis 1.8 dohc has a rough edel ,no acceleration.Seems to be looping not sure what this term refers to,this when eng revs up, down ? 1995 year of the vehicle .

I suspect that the air intake hose is cracked and admits additional air causing a lean condition.
