ignition wiring colors?
im converting my key to all toggle switch/push button on my 323.i have seven wires,i know only the starter, acc,on,and 12v constant, anyone help me with the others and how to wire it in.reason is i broke the damn thing, cars is gonna be used for short trips and dont wanna buy a new set.thanks guys.
well im getting closer in what to wires together......just two wires at least if you guys can help me out.the two thinnest wires on the ignition cylinder backside.one red/white and an all black wire.i measured them carefully as i turned the key to acc,on,and start.no power ran thru them, are they grounds?can i not cut them and just leave them there?
This won't help much, but is better than nothing.
Mazda wiring code convention is black= direct to ground: red/white= conditional to B+, meaning the red/white could be either a B+ input conditional upon some other switch/relay having the appropriate status, OR a B+ output coming from the ignition switch conditional upon the ignition key switch status.
