Okay, I just found it online a few minutes ago. It's part of the VRIS set up what ever that is. I will have to do some more research on it later after I get up.

Mine is a 4 cylinder. I'm not sure if it's the K Type or not. I don't know enough about these engines yet.
On mine, there is a vacuum line going to an electric solenoid, then to the VRIS vacuum motor, but there is no electric connector hooked up to the solenoid.
The vacuum motor works, and isn't stuck, I was able to move it by hand when the car was running, but there was no change in the idle, so I don't know if it's not working, or it don't work at idle.
I'm new to these engines, but I can usually figure stuff out. I will have to do a LOT of research on this particular engine.

Unhappy Same idle stalling problem on Mazda MPV 2005

Mailman and others,

I have the same exact idling problems. Did the dealer help you fix the problem? Any solutions?

Sometime back, I had my engine stall when I took my feet of the accelarator when going uphill. As per some recommendations online, I changed IAC valve and the problem went away for about 3 months. Now I have this engine die at stop lights due to low idle rpm. I cleaned MAF sensor and it improved a little. Now the idle mostly kicks up when it reaches 300-400 rpm, but sometimes it fails and dies. I have to restart, I try to keep the gas supplied most of the time to keep up the RPM up....I get P2197 and P0113 CEL code, Please help.

My car is still in the shop. As soon as I get it back I will let you know what they found out on it. They called and said it was something with the computer, and they were pretty vague. So as soon as I know something, I will let the forum know.
