Default Heres one for the tech guys.

Every time i accelerate the engine seems to stutter as if it's missing or it's not getting fuel/air, it's ok at starting and idling and even when in neutral and i rev the engine it's fine, only when i accelerate does it have this strange problem, any ideas? It's a 2.0 lxi 1997 R reg.

Thanks in advance.

Check your engine intake air duct and vacuum connections carefully. the air duct can split and only opens up when the engine loads and tilts on its mounts under acceleration; this opens up the the split causing horribly lean mixture. The splits are hard to see and usually located near the engine.
