Default help, possible bad neutral switch

My fiance's 2000 626 with 83k on the clock just had some trouble getting the car out of reverse. No matter the selected gear on the console, it was reverse. She then rolled back into the parking spot. Now the car will not start. Dash is lit up, lights are good but no click from the solenoid, just nothing. I checked all the fluids and fuses, all are ok. I did a bit of research and found other people with the same problem and it was a neutral saftey switch. Any other input before i drop the few bucks (i hope) on this item?

Thanks for help with the noob.

Jason
