Unhappy engine swap issues!

Hey guys, I’ve just finished dropping my engine from the Mazda 323 astina BJ series (1.8L) into the body of a Mazda 323 Shades (1.6L), we left the engines wiring harness attached and fed it through the firewall back through to the ECU’s (also changed) and back through to the fuel pump under the back seat, everything is compliant with the engine including it original gearbox, fuse box, ecu’s, and wiring harnesses. The problem is that it still wont start, the computer seems to be disallowing it to start due to the fact that if were pull a spark plug out it only sparks once and does not spark again unless the battery terminal is removed to reset the ecu. We have checked the crank angle sensor and all earths unable to diagnose the problem, looking forward to recommendations, cheers.
