Hello

I cannot seem to get the ECM Diagnostic port to work
That is, read out the OBD-I codes.

I have a:
-
Mazda 626
93 Automatic
Australia
Does not have a CEL (Check Engine Light) on the Dash.

Method:
-
1) Located Diagnosic Port ( See attached image )
2) Connected TEN (Test Engine) to GND (Ground) on Diagnostic connector.
3) Connected FEN to 12V Test Light and Ground on Diagnostic connectr.
4) Turned Ignition Key to ON.
-> Nothing happens ie. no 12V Test Light activity

Any help here would be appreciated.

That one has another diagnostic connector. It uses the ford type. Autozone should have the hookup for it. It is also under the hood.
