check engine light?

Default check engine light?

so i have my fuel injector fuse in, and i get a check engine light, i take it out, no check engine light.... any ideas? 1988 mazda 323 1.6l

Removing that fuse will disable all your idiot lights, plus your turn signals and backup lights. Seems like a lot for a 10A fuse, but that's what the wiring diagram says. It's shown as 10A in a couple of places and 15A in one other.

As far as having the check engine light on, the signal that turns on the light comes from the ECU. The shop manual spends a lot of pages talking about using the "self-diagnosis checker," sort of a primitive code reader. There is a list of about 10 things that can light the CEL: ignition pulse from the igniter in the distributor, G signal from the distributor, air flow meter, water themp sensor, intake air temp from air flow meter, throttle sensor, atmospheric pressure sensor, 02 sensor, and O2 sensor feedback. There are also 4 solenoids that it can indicate.

well now it doesnt matter either way, called the mechanics shop and they told me that the crankshafts broke so im planning on parting the car out, bodily and mechanically if theres anything you need we can come up with something pictures of the car are below
