Wish you had received the post before trying to drop the stiffener section gsxrsrad!!! The rear crack seal housing is the piece that will break as you have already discovered. I wiggled and jiggled the housing first time I had to pull one but to no avail. Don't feel bad as the hidden bolts are not even mentioned in the factory workshop manual either so am sure they are not included in any aftermarket manuals.
