Default Any knowledge on 1st Gen. 626?

Does anyone here have any knowledge on 1st gen 626's I have a 1981 and I want to modify it, I have been surfing the net and have found several in Australia, overseas etc... they have swapped some RX-7 parts, TT 13B engines, trannys, brakes etc... I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with these cars, the options for engines are almost unlimited being that it is a RWD car, I would like to go nuts with it and make it a road racer or something along with a kickass street sleeper.

Any help is appreciated
