Default 626 '99 Aftermarket Stereo Help

I just purchased and installed a Jensen SD1413 aftermarket stereo since my OEM Bose stereo stopped playing CDs. The installation went alright, and the new stereo receives power from the battery, but the speakers are outputting no sound. The speakers are OEM and have not been modified in any way.

I also double-checked the wiring - splices and connections - and everything is correctly connected and insulated.

There were three wires that did not have a match on the aftermarket speaker's harness - "Positive dimmer," "illumination," and "remote amp turn on." Every wire on the harness is paired, but those three from the vehicle are not.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I just spent a good amount of money on this stereo (for me, at least) and really want to see it work. ...especially since I used the harness and can't return it now.

Also - does anyone know how many watts the OEM speakers are? I can't find this out anywhere and it's not marked on the speakers themselves or in the manual. The stereo I purchased is 4x40 watts.
