Default 323 won't start warm

Hi all,

I was recently given a 1994 323. It's the base model with manual transmission. It runs great except for every once in a while when I turn it off for 10 minutes or so, it won't start after. I have to wait roughly half an hour and then it starts. It cranks fine but it sounds like there's no spark. I know it's getting fuel because when it finally starts you can smell it. It's kinda hard for me to test this as I'm usually alone without tools in some mall parking lot.

Anyone have any ideas??

You might try www.mazda323performance.com also. Most of the guys there are very helpful. A little sarcastic, but helpful and it's specifically for 323s.... good luck.
