Default 1989 Mazda Familia Hatchback Clair

Hi there

I bought a 1989 Mazda Familia Hatchback Clair, and I've been wondering why it's not running properly. When I drive the car it doesn't get up to speed very well and it takes a little while to get to the right speed. I had a little bit of a look and I think it's definitely a fuelling issue but I'm not sure if it's a carb or a fuel pump. A friend of mine had a look today and thought it could be the carb that had a bad jet or something. Has anyone had this problem?

Any ideas or info would be legendary!

Cheers

Replace the fuel filter before proceeding with anything else. It may be impeding fuel flow. Always start troubleshooting automotive issues with the most obvious, easiest and cheapest route before delving into more complicated solutions.

I'll give it a try!

Thanks for the Help

I have another question...

Does anyone happen to know where the fuel pump is located?

Cheers
