Question Vibrations in the back wheels

Hey!
So I drive a regular ol' mazda protege 2001. Recently, I've been driving and hour to and from work and I noticed that once I get up over 50mph my car shakes. I just got new Pirelli tires summer of 08. I can tell that most of the vibration feels like it's in the back tires. So, I looked at them a few times and there's some wearing on each of the back tires thats not normal, It's sort of a diagonal ripple wearing affect. Does anyone know why this might be? and only in the back tires? Is it a tie rod issue? Any info helps. I do not want to bring it to a shop without having a good idea of what I need. Thanks, Jacksonk

I'd look into getting a 4 wheel alignment, from a honest mechanic. try a re-balance as well

When they try an alignment, they will check everything out at the same time.

It's likely that there is just a weight missing from your rear tire.

Take the tires back to the shop before paying for an alignment.

A rear suspension general health check is in order too; worn bushings, especially in drag links/ torsion bars will do that too.
