Default Passenger Air bag is always lit..

Is thsi normal.. When there no one is the passenger seat.. I have that yellow light lit constantly indicating that the air bag will not go off.. As it would be lit in any other car if someone under weight specification would be siting in teh front seat.. like a child. .
My Nissan Air NO FUNCTION bag light will light up when my son sits in the frotnt seat, but only then.
The cx9 will always be lit.
Is that normal?

I'm not talking about the airbag light that would Flash in the dashboard that gives a code

I'm talking about the passenger airbag deactivation light , the yellow light that's just under the center vent. This light turns off when an adult sits in the passenger seat, if a child of 1 years old (or of a certain weight)..sits in the front passenger seat this light is activated indicating that the airbag will not go off however this light is lit even when there's nobody in the passenger seat. On my Nissan, this light is off all the time unless a young child seat in the front seat, the light indicates that the airbag will not go off. Anyhow I just read the manual online and this light remains on the whole time until an adult passenger sits in the front seat.

They don't have that feature/setup in my market, so I have very little knowledge on it. Some vehicles have a switch in the glovebox to deactivate the passenger airbags.
