Out of Fuel???
The term "reserve tank" is something of a misnomer, that said, your tank has a 14.5 gallon capacity, and I typically find that when I fill up with the gauge showing "Empty" that it takes a bit over 12 gallons to "fill" the tank. Said another way, you should be able to milk another fifty to sixty miles out of your fuel tank once the arrow hits "E".
With the above said, driving to the point of near fuel exhaustion is a very bad idea due to the fact that your high pressure fuel pump is located in the gas tank and it relies on the fuel it is submerged in for cooling. Run the fuel too low and the pump can become too hot and that will negatively affect its life span.
