Default Oil in my air filter?

Hi all,

After a race in my 1986 Mazda Familia, I opened the bonnet to find a lot of oil in my air filter =( it now idles real rough, has no power when put in drive and tries to stall, I did get it going for last race which it completed but blew heaps of smoke and had no power.

Any ideas on what caused it and how to fix it or do I need a new engine?

PCV Valve will be attached to/ inserted into the Rocker cover.

Picture attached as a sample ( no idea what engine you have )

Hi Grim, thanks for your info =)

I now have a new problem I replaced plugs and leads now I can't get it to run now, it was running and started before but now it doesn't want to start at all =(

I have a familia granz 1500. I put the new leads on the way they came off, I think the firing order is 1-3-4-2 but unsure if it clockwise or counterclockwise. Plus I can't be certain the leads are on in the right order tho. On the distributor one of the lead sockets has a little 1 next to it so that should be number 1 plug lead I think. I also forgot to set the plug gaps which maybe a factor too, I've read that the plug gap should be 0.8mm. Can't find any good info on the web =(

Take the distributor cap off rotate the engine by hand or socket and breaker bar until top dead centre is showing on the crankshaft pulleys, then check to see which plug tower it lines up with it will either be spot on or 180 degrees out you will only know when you try to start it if it is right it will start if not it may blow back through the fuel system
