love my 3 but what genius put the hole in the wrong place? if the hole was 6" left we wouldn't have to remove the panel to remove the oil filtrer .[:@]

 

The hole was put there for oil leak inspection on the assembly line and not for your convience to change the oil filter unfortunately. Have heard of some that have made an enlarged the hole to extend under the filter. That way you have room to bring the filter down as well as get your hand up there to loosen it.

 

makes sence but why not kill two birds with one stone?
