I have a Mazda 2 Capella 04 plate and following a garage trip, now have an err message on radio/cd player, I have tried the codes on here 4989 / 1414 / 5989 & 3511 can anyone give me some advice please thanks Jo

I am having similar problems.
Bought new car this Saturday. Initially Code was flashing on panel initially. I have enter wrong code (By pressing AUTO M and 6 button ) after a couple of wrong attempt. Radio doesn't respond any of the command.

I tried pressing all the possible combination mentioned here and WHICH one is a SEARCH Button?
Radio is not responding at all. it only shows Err message on Display.

I ask Dealer on phone, they said they need to recode a code with a laptop and charging me £50 +VAT.
According to User manual i need to replace whole Radio.
my car model is Mazda 6 TS 2005. in this model i can't find a SEARCH button

Thank you so much guys. it worked ,4989 worked. i was pressing wrong buttons. radio back on. one small problem. it beep after 1 min everytime i switch it on first time. but i will live with it. thankd again.

 

My radio is locked (blinking ERR). If you know how to fix it please help.

Cheesed off as just bought a 2007 Mazda 2 & the dealer told me when picking it up that they didn't have the code - can't live without my radio lol been great reading all the other successful posts but not seen any help for this model. Please help!

 

Got locked out of radio in 2002 SP20 after battery change. Dealer had no idea and suggested buying new radio. Entered code now all good. Cheers, saved me heap of time and money.

One more thanks for the info. MPV '02 (german origin) was successfully unlocked with 1414
Is there a way to permanently turn off this "anti-theft" operation?

you already have arrived! Unlocking brings your radio back to virgin status. You will have to go through a routine to set up a new anti-theft blocking code. Just leave it alone, and it is "permanently unlocked."
