this knocking/clicking sound from steering....

Default this knocking/clicking sound from steering....

I have the Mazda6s v6 and when i turn the steering wheel goin slow for example, while parking the car i can feel and hear this click and knocking sound ..feels as something is loose or broken at the steering colum. anyone ever experience this?

The shaft most likely has a slipjoint on it and the grease tends to dry out and make a sound like you describe. The fix is remove and apply grease to it. You need to isolate the noise however as it could be several things.

I think I have the same thing. Friend told me it might be the bushings. Havent had time to take it in to fix. If you did get it fixed..what was it?
