Clutch making a clicking sound

Clutch making a clicking sound
Hey guys, i need your help with something. Well, it's not really a problem, more like an annoyance really that can develope into a problem in the future. My 1995 Protege Z5 with 104 000 miles on it makes a clicking sound when the clutch pedal is pressed down. It makes the sound at the very end when the clutch pedal is depressed almost all the way down. It is only one single 'click', and it does it again when depressing the clutch and shifting into the next gear.
The clicking sound seems to be coming from the gear box area, but you can also sense the click with your foot on the clutch pedal. But it only does it during the first 5 miles of driving or so. After the whole system warms up, it goes away. There are no performance issues at all like the clutch slipping or being hard to depress or anything similar, but it still is not normal for it to be doing this. What do you guys more familiar with clutches and gear boxes think could be causing this?

RE: Clutch making a clicking sound
This same even just occurred on my 1996 Protégé. As the clutch nears the end of its stroke, the clutch peddle are hits a stop at the fire wall. To fix it just cover the stop plate with something rubber.
