Help! My Mazda consumes oil at an alarming rate.

Yes, that's what I'm beginning to be afraid of. Seems to be consuming more and more Coolant Oh well. Again, thanks to all for taking your time out to help me try to figure this one out!

Any thoughts to the cranking problem? It randomly just won't start now...won't even turn over. All lights come on correctly, can't jump it off. You may leave it sitting for 10 minutes, and it may start or may not...just random. Had battery tested, it was good. Alternator has recently been replaced. Could it be CPS? Or if it is CPS, would it at least turn over?

Was able to diagnose coolant leak, thank goodness! Was intermittent, randomly leaking from a hose.

Doing research, I found that some people had experienced same thing I am with the 2.3l engine thanks to a collapsed internal oil seal. Does anyone know more about this? Said it is prevalent in these engines and is a known issue, and that using heavier oil will slow consumption.
