i have a 1992 mazda bravo b2600 4x4 and i was just wondering if i can put an engine out of a 1992 2x4 bravo, would this bolt straight on or would i have to get it out of another 4x4

 

I was looking at putting a Toyota V6 in an MR2 and found something interesting. Toyota made things easy. (unintentionally) What they did was to save money of course but what I discovered is that almost all of their engines will bolt up to almost all of their transmissions. All ot their gauges are interchangable behind the faceplates. There are many more examples of interchangability.
So here is my question. What other Mazda engines will bolt to a RX8 six speed? The 2.3 or the Mazda6 V6?

 

It should go right in, if any parts was different would be the oil pan and you could just use the 1 off of the old motor
