door lock

Default door lock

was having problems with door lock on 99 mazda 323,had a guy put a new lock on testerday,today the window will wind only half way down.as its the second time the fella has looked at it i will take off door panel tomorrow and try to fix myself.
anyone with any ideas as to why i cant open window fully[probably a long shot ]

Does anything not operate? By this I mean does the outer door handle or lock not work. Possible that one of the link rods was not installed correctly and has fallen off, blocking the window from being rolled down. Don't try to force the window untill you take a look as the link rods can be easily bent and can be a pain to get bent back into the original shape.

yeah door handle and lock work ok,just the window wont go down fully it goes alittle more than half way,not a maior problem i know,but a bit annoying i will have a look anyway thanks

A possibility is a wiring harness re-routed in the window track path. I have seen it happen before.

yeah it was getting caught on the wiring,just finished putting on door panel and window is fine now,thanks very much to bkey 71 and babyhuey for help cheers
