Default dashboard and tail light shortage

hi there, i was wondering if anyone has ever come across with such a problem as this before. on two counts now, both sets of lights have blown and while we had changed the fuse for one of the particular kind-- a couple of days later it has happened again. It would appear to us that this would be some kind of shortage but that's about as far as we can navigate the problem. the brakes still work, however.

would anyone have any solutions to this at all?

the car is a mazda mx-5 1991 eunos by the way.

many thanks for viewing!

Hi there the possible cause of the short could be water getting into the connector at the headlights or the wiring loom that goes in to the vehicle might have rubbed through on the body work causing the fuse to blow, you might also have a fault with the switch. Its difficult to pin point short circuits without inspect the system . My advice would be to check if the the fault is intermittent or permanent or intermittent, you could try moving the wiring loom to eliminate that first. Sorry i cant be of any direct help.
