DASHBOARD won't light in COLD WEATHER
I've got a 2006 Mazda6, and from the day I have owned it, the dashboard will not light up when I turn the car on in the winter unless it is warm enough outside. The clock turns itself off and has to be reset, the display is off, but the car runs fine otherwise. Sounded like a fuse issue, but the people in my service center are idiots and can't figure this out for themselves.
Has anyone else come across this yet?

You are not alone. Quite a few people, including mehad the same problem: the radio works fine but the display (clock, station, etc.) needs warm up. It is not a fuse issue. My display was replaced under warranty.
There is a TSB out for that. It would take my car warming up for about 10-15 minutes before it would light up again. I had mine replaced last winter...it only took about 20 minutes and I haven't had a problem since.
