Default BT-50 Oil

Hi all

I do not know if this is the right place to post my issue.
I have a 2007 Mazda BT-50 Drifter 3.0 CRD, and I need to drain the rear and front diffs oil and I can`t find the drain plug, only the one to refill.
Can someone tell me how to drain the oil and also inform what kind of oil I must use for the gearbox and transfer case?
Mazda says that we must use TYPE gear oil, but that is not available in my country, is there any equivalent type of oil that I can use?
Thank you very much.

Ive never seen a bt50 without drain bungs. If ur sure there not there you need to suck out the old oil. Visit oil sites like castrol etc & select your vehicle in the spec search. Most likely something like castrol LSX 90 or EPX 80W90.

The rear Diff only has the refill plug, situated more or less in the center of the back cover of the diff, by the way, it has diff lock.

Regarding the gearbox and transfer case oil, the manufactures sites that have have seen (Castro, Fuchs, Shell, Caltex), they all say to consult the dealer.

I have seen some comments in the net, to use ATF Dextron III oil, even for the manual gear box and transfer case.

is it safe?

Castrol Australia - NetLube

Differentials both take CASTROL AXLE EPX 80W-90 ( about 5 litres between the two )

Manual Gearbox & transfercase need Genuine Mazda Type "A" Oil. About 6 liters between the two. ( Filled separately )
