Default 2006 Mazda 6 Downshift issue

Hey all! Thanks for reading,

My 2006 Mazda 6 is shifting (SLAMMING) hard when downshifting into 4th. I took it to AutoZone to get the error codes read, and here's what came up:

1) Fuel system too lean at off idle (Left bank - errors P2179,P2189 and Right bank - error P2187)
Probable cause:
*Large vacuum leak
*Fuel system malfunction
*MAF sensor faulty
*Ignition system malfunction

2) Heated oxygen sensor H02S (LF - error P0151 and RF - error P0131) Circuit low input
Probable cause:
*Lean air\fuel ratio
*Open or short circuit condition
*Faulty heated oxygen sensor H02S

What would you guess the issue is here? Do you think that these issues are likely to cause the transmission to shift hard?

NOT ENOUGH INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Is yours the 6 speed automatic?
If it is your tranny sucks, just like mine does/did. I'm on my second tranny. First one went @ 24,000 km. I have 72,000 km and was smart as I added an external tranny cooler. Hope you have changed your automatic tranny fluid.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm not sure what additional information you might need, but if you tell me, I'd be more than happy to provide it.

Yes it is the 6 speed automatic.

Thank you for the links.

Automatic 6 speed was the info needed. For all we know you could have a 5 speed standard then none of my info would apply.

I'll give you another tid bit.
Again, engine size not mentioned!
This is for the 3.0 ltr V6:

A good cleaning of EGR, throttle body and MAF are always needed.

Also Mazda never changes the PCV valve, so change it.

Check for cracks in intake hose between air box and throttle body,.
