RE: noise when reversing slowly
PLEASE can someone let me know if there is a definitive fix for this. My car is booked in for 37,500 service next week, and I just know the garage are going to say "no it doesn't" when I tell them about this noise.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE has anyone had it fixed and know what was done?????

RE: noise when reversing slowly
We used to get the noise, not too often, however, during our last holiday it got steadily worse. As a service was booked for our return we just lived with it and reported it. The dealer said it was a pipe problem and ordered a new one under warranty, it is being fitted today, so I will try it and see what happens. Incidentally we also reported a rattle from the rear near side door which the dealer has traced to a rear suspension problem, and they have ordered four new wheels as the originals were pitting!

RE: noise when reversing slowly
Took the car in for 37,500 service today, to a different dealer than I bought car from. I told the receptionist about this noise, and she promptly fetched a service guy from the workshop who confirmed that he knew the problem and would order the replacement hydraulic pipe! At last!
It did help my case that I can virtually make the car screech on demand now, rather than about 1 try in 10. Not sure if it has got worse or I've just got the knack of it !
When I collected the car I was pleased to hear that they have also put a request in to Mazda for replacement wheels for my car too, as they also were sufferering the blistering reported in this and other threads.
So, hats off to RRG Mazda, Stockport !!

RE: noise when reversing slowly
Glad to report that the new pipe has fixed the howling from the power steering, however we still have a rattling rear door, I am still not convinced that the tyre wear issue has gone and the oil level/dpf is cause for concern!
Shame really, so nearly a brilliant car.
