I live in New Zealand and have recently purchased a 2009 Mazda MPV Turbo from Wholesale Cars Direct.

The reversing proximity sensors are not working and I'd like to understand if this feature is part of the integrated entertainment system (which we had removed and replaced with a NZ version to access maps, radio etc) or if sensors are integrated and part of the original vehicle?

The front sensors (adaptive cruise control) work just find and are OEM i.e. not part of entertainment system.

When we reverse we get the standard reversing beep however indication of proximity to another car / wall etc.

The sensors are not vibrating when in reverse so assume either a cut connection (if OEM) or not compatibale with new entertainment system.

Any other MPV owners with working proximity sensors? Keen to get these working...
