Well I though it was pretty interesting.

What did every one else think?

 

Would have hated to have been the driver. OUCH!! Kind of neat how it just took off into the air once it got sideways though.

 

yeah at first I was like cool RX-7 really booking. Then I saw it take off and crash and I watched it a couple of times just to see if it was fake or not.

 

glad I wasn't the driver. High speed aerodynamics are a bitch....

 

That's an oldie but a goodie. Jim Mederer, owner of Racing Beat was driving the car. I took a tour of their facility when it was being built, simply awesome.. triple rotor, triple turbo as I recall. Too bad it got balled up, but they built another one and Jim did indeed set the landspeed record for that class at Bonnevile in 1995, 247 MPH!

im pretty sure he crapped himself as a he went airborne. i know i would have.

 

Yeah that was pretty crazy! I'm sure he was fine because that thing must have had a rollcage and plenty of safety features if he was trying to set a land speed record. Still kinda scary though, I'm sure!
