Default High Pitched Squeak Mazda 2 DE 2012

Hello Everyone

I'm new here. I'm experiencing a high pitched sound in Drive gear. Noticeable when stopped at lights. Similar noise was fixed previously with exhaust nuts replaced but Mazda workshop checked and says exgaust is fine and can't find the problem. I also noticed lately it's running rough, like it's got a grumbly tummy kind of thing. Like it's going to stall but doesnt.
It's driving me nuts....pardon the pun
I also notice that the fuel guage instrument bars inside on the dash are a bit temperamental...from full tank one var drops if I drive 12 miles then another full tank it takes 24 miles to drop 1 bar on guage. Thank you in advance for any help.

Sound isn't coming from inside car.
It's outside and more noticeable in drive thru fast food places where noise is easier to hear than workshop?

Does it occour when using the clutch?
If so its probably the main seal and the actuator.

If its just when driving theres probably a loose piece of metal somewhere bouncing around though if its really loud it could be an engine mount failure. Be sure to check your wheels for anything that seems off, if its more of a tee hee, tee hee squeak, its probably just your suspension.

Hope this is helpful.

I diagnosed the problem immediately when he said the belt was spinning at 1,000,000 mph. The motor is going WAY too fast.

Default Exhaust Related

Hi Sorry for late replies.
my car is automatic.
no my revs are around 500 so quite low.
The noise disappears when someone puts their foot over the exhaust. The mechanic did change some muts and that got rid of it for a while but it came back. Also changed part of exhsust area and worked for a bit but came back.
