yeah, like on F-1 cars...
there's a small 3 inch paddle either side of the steering wheels
the right is for downshifting, the left for upshifting

you just pull the paddle towards you to up/downshift

thats something like what i have except that its where the shifter is at, all you do is put the shifter in the drive slot and push it to the left, then its basically like having a manual car except there is no clutch pedal (duh), there is a considerable amount of shift lag, and you cant downshift at any rpm you want. Btw if anybody cared the best runs from a roll your gonna (for autos) in manual mode is a 20mph roll in 1st and a 60-65 roll and the trick is to be in 3rd and downshift into 2nd.

and then you have CVT automatic transmissions, where they dont shift at all.
its just two gears (or pulleys?). they just expand and contract to the speed your going.
so theres no shift shock, and the revs never go up and down.
so its kinda like having 1 very, very long 1st gear

Ugh I will drive manual till it is physically impossible for me to do so. Nothing beats a good ole stick and clutch. Sorry Tracker, but no matter how manumatic your tranny is, a full on manual is best for control, launches, and fun.

yeah buts its funny to hold the brake and gas at the line to spool up the turbo and then stomp it, but i saw a commercial for nissans new maxima and it had the cvt tranny and it looked and sounded retarded...i mean really how lazy can people be when it comes to driving, i tell u what if the new skyline and supra have that transmission it would be an instant let down for many hard core fans...although there is a supra ive seen thats manumatic and it runs 8.2 all day.

i so cant wait for the new supra's and skylines.
ive seen so many concepts for the new supra's, ranging from a $150,000 V-10 "super" car to a $35,000car thats more like it's the previous model.
either way, i want one.
and i prefer the latest skyline models, like the ones that are in all the video games.

(p.s. i finally say a skyline where i live (burlington)!! it was a early 90's four door tho, but who cares....)
