BiNGO!! It also gives a better feel in the steering and front end/tires in general. Add a heavier rear sway bar and ya' got it!! What pressures (and tires) are you running Jeff? On the street and AutoX?

35!!!Wuss.Mine are @ 38F/34R COLD!!

Hmm, really? I'm not sure what the PSI limit would be for these tires. What would the altered pressures do for me, actually?
My tires show 44 PSI as the max. I ask the same Q as VB ... what is the ben of more PSI in front versus rear? Overall, more PSI = less rolling resistance. But beyond a certain point, handling/grip is sacrificed. Real question is: What is the optimum PSI?

I would guess that the PSI sweet spot varies amongst tires.

on the street i do 37 in front and 36 in rear. at autox usually 41 in front and 37/38 in rear...plus or minus a psi or two for each depending on weather and track conditions

Vince, you are correct. The idea is to stiffen the fronts and leave to rears to flex in the sidewall. Better control, better feel.

Typically the weight distribution is more biased towards the front as well. (engine) More weight on the front tires means you need more air pressure in them to accommodate the added weight being applied. This ensures the tiresflex/performconsistently front/rear.

I would think a vehicle with perfect 50/50 weight distribution would want even tire pressure all around.
