I never thought much about iteither, but having been reading more lately. The comment seems to be that RX's are oil burners by nature and that synths don't burn like conventional oilsdo. Therefore thesynth basewill eventually gum and clog things up in a rotary and that gum can get between the rotor housing and the apex seals as a form of varnish.
It makes sense to me, and I do love my synths, but I'm just passing on what I've read from others. I have no personal experience in these matters. But if I owned an RX I think I would reconsider using synth oils in it.
And Adam!! Where have you been, Man?
yeah there's alot of controversy over it. some have used it with no issues others won't try i went for the plunge. the only thing they suggest is to do a premix in your gas tank. well they recommend that anyway but so far i don't have issues. but there's a huge debate on nearly every major mazda forum and several i have spoke to use it with no problems so since august 07 i've been researching and like i said i went for it.
