Pics from STPR and my Epic Weekend (56k give up)
Got back home yesterday from STPR: RallyAmerica's Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally in Wellsboro, PA. I thought you might be interested in this too.
The rest of this is basically just copied and pasted from another forum.
Just got home a few hours ago, I had to drive back to Bangor to drop off some friends before heading back to Lancaster County... spent the night there and did some geocaching.
I met Pastrana (again), Block (again), and Mirra as well as several other drivers. I talked to Dillon Von Way (the 16 year old kid driving the Focus) for a bit, he was pretty cool. Also talked to Scott Wilburn (#125, yellow/red bugeye) for about 10 minutes about his car and the sport and all that since he's local to me.
I was at Painter-Leetonia for the first time through, on the exiting side. Someone found a rattlesnake about 40 feet behind where we were sitting, the park rangers re-located it (it was a pretty big one too).
Made it to the Super Special in the evening on Saturday, it was a better set-up than last year because you could more-or-less see all of it, whereas last year the cars disappeared behind the trees for a bit. Was glad to see Pastrana and Block on the podium, Bacon was a surprise, but I love a good underdog.
Friday I was at the Bilo lot between 7:30 and like 8:30, we hit the store and dunkin donuts and stuff, but I didn't see anyone else come in.
Sunday we had breakfast at the diner (I try to every year), and spent the rest of the afternoon Geocaching around the area, then drove to Bangor, where we slept, did more geocaching, and then I drove back home.
All in all it was an awesome weekend, I actually think I had more fun this year than I have in the past.
So here are a bunch of pictures. more are at My PhotoBucket. I went with my friends, Kevin, Jay, Krystle. Met my Aunt, Uncle, 3-year-old Cousin, Sister, and Brother-in-Law, just in case you're wondering who those other people are...
The picture with Pastrana and Block makes me laugh because we all have a "why is it taking this guy so long to take a picture?" look on our faces.

yeah, I actually live in Columbia, which is a few towns past lancaster now, but it's still Lancaster County. You'd dig Chickey's Rocks probably, great view of the Susquehanna River. I can always use more friends, but be warned that I got rid of the Mazda 626 a couple years ago to buy my uncle's 95 Eagle Talon ESi... hence why I don't come around this forum too much anymore. lol
