Natual or Synthetic?
Not sure if we have already talked about this but I am still wondering about it.
I have used Castrol anit sludge ever since I got my 92 323. I loved it never had a problem with it.
So I have an older car. I know if I had a newer car I would want to switch to synthetic all the way. One it handles extreme conditions at higher speeds. But would it even be worth it to change to synthetic on an older car?
It there any type of damage that can come about from switching?
I know you have a higher change of leaks useing synthetic on an older car but could you cause any type of damage from switching?

For you sythetic, for me natural. The synthetic gums up a rotary because rotaries burn oil and burnt synthetic leaves carbon residue that gums up the engine. I'd run synthetic on any piston car unless it was an antique muscle car or something. Not because the new oil would mess it up or anythnig but to stay true to it's design and historical values.
^^^ Couldn't have said it better myself.
Synthetic will not harm an older engine. The worst thing that could happen is an oil leak as the synthetic oil molecules are smaller. If this happens, either fix the leaks or go back to natural. Only other thing is some oil burning possibly, but the same response.
