Default 92-95 Civic Sedan Revival

Back from the weeds and into the streets... 😬

Wife and I, work at the same place and daily drive a 2020 Blazer AWD. Long story short, a deer re-shaped the front end on the interstate. I do not like it very much, and I am going to turn it in for repairs this week. I am also off work this week. 🤪

I am going to need something to drive while repairs are done. *Strolls the backyard* 🤔

Let's see what I forgot about... "Son, ya gonna drive me to drinkin' if you don't stop driving that hotrod lincoln."

Geezzz... looked better a few years ago. 😆

Oh, well. Need something to drive, AND lock up tools and stuff inside. This way my insurance covers any of my possible losses. 🤓

YYOINK! To the driveway...

Looks better already.

This is "Little Red Rides In-Tint." Pun intended! 🙄 🤨
A '93 civic sedan, it is the d15b7 a 1.5l sohc 5 speed car. Been sitting about *removes shoes to count toes* 5 years or so.

Where to start... 🤔

Well, sure. Starting with tires is confident. 😆 I suppose a roller is better than a slider. Let's get those old 15" Rota Circuit 8's off and re-wrapped.

I know the engine is shot. Ran great but smoked so bad, it was stopped and we were informed it was on fire.

It was not. 🤪

An old case of too much head on too little of a bottom end, plus mileage.

Hope the radio works!

Nice stretch of property you have.
"little" red is a worthy project to bring back to life.

New shoes... I also inspected the Massey Ferguson gray enamel at TSC. Probably won't have time for paint, yet. At least not this week.

A closer look...

Check out the mutilated strut towers...

Car has lots of goodies that I forgot about doing.
Msd 6A box with external coil
Header
Full exhaust, no cat
Y8 intake manifold
Integra throttle body
A6/B7 head casting
A6 camshaft
Adjustable fuel regulator
Runs a p06 ECU
Adjustable cam gear
more stuff I forgot...

Throttle body, intake manifold and head are a matched set. Head has about 700 miles on a rebuild. Should still be good. Bottom end is SHOT! In need of a re-bore. But, I have a plan... 🤔

Stroll back over to where the big three were sitting...

Before a string of huge distractions, I this head was removed and I began porting it. It is boxed up and shelved also, but this is my project D15 short block.

I drove this car, when I bought it with a lost title. Nothing strange, the older lady couldn't find it. It had a dead miss on one cylinder, which was a bad valve. Great automatic transmission, too. Which I do not need. It has sit with the head off, but I will clean it up after it is out and disassembled....

The story is... white car has no title.
Red car is salvage title.
Orange and Black car is clean titled original vin EG.

All three will eventually dissolve into the clean titled car, but it will be a D16Y7 N/A setup on 4 X 40mm slide carbs. Not THIS engine.

Oops, got distracted... the wife moved a fender over to the clean titled car, as I was working.
